JA2 1.13INSANE  maps ALPHA  Readme

JA2 1.13INSANE is a mod being developed for players who use the insane setting.

The setting is Arulco (sort of). The year is 2003 (sort of)
Diedreanna has big plans, She is building a large army to invade her neighbor. She considers the minor uprising in the north to be crushed. She has used the remainder of the 10 billion dollar loan she received from the International Monetary Fund to buy a large quantity of war material. She has paved the roads in her small country to show the world that she is improving the country, but actually she really needed to improve the roads to support her war effort.
So the country will look more modern as you play thru. You will also notice that there is very little loot to be found as I have tried to delete as much as possible due to conflicts with XMLs.  

To make this thing run;

If you are using the new VFS then just follow those instructions and put the maps and your game in the profile folder. The set. dat file normally goes in the data 1.13/binary data but I don't know if thats true for VFS. (VFS mystifies me)

If you are not using VFS then (like me) you should rename your present data/ maps and data/radarmaps  and also rename your present data 1.13/binary data/set.dat. ( myset.dat is what I use) 
then put maps and radarmaps into data and set.dat into data 1.13/binary data
That way you always have the originals.

I Suggest; 

Run your map editor and look at the maps.
Compare to the descriptions below. 

Or just load up and go for it and be surprised.

Please, if you make any changes (it's OK, you can do it!) or fix bugs Please send me the changes so I can include them in the updates and credits. Future players will honor you.

Suggestions and feedback will provide inspiration for more and better maps.

As you can see there is much work to be done, but why not have some fun in the meantime? So please enjoy.

The main credit for this mod goes to Shedd. This mod uses Shedd's AMAZING map mod as it's base. I am reworking his mod maps to fit MY reality in addition to creating many of my own original maps.
